To put the light on the most committed newsrooms in solutions journalism.

To disseminate knowledge of best practices to newsrooms.

To get together media organisations that share the same vision as Reporters d’Espoirs, in Europe, Africa, America, Spain, UK, USA, Denmark…

Who can compete ?

General information media will are priviledged

Whose a significant part of the newsroom is engaged into a solution-focused approach

Several journalists are involved, not a journalist alone

It concerns a regular and a volume of contents, not something eventful

That consider « solutions journalism » according to these criteria:

Cover an issue, a problematic situation which causes dissatisfaction

Go beyond reporting about problems or difficult situations, to talk about : answers, initiatives to tackle the issue, people working to find solutions or alternatives

Cover the impact of these initiatives and also their limits

An International Jury

The Jury is composed of representatives of international organisations working on the media sector, especially on constructive and solutions journalism:

Pourquoi ce prix ?

Pour mettre en lumière les rédactions du monde entier engagées dans le journalisme de solutions.

Pour identifier et essaimer les bonnes pratiques qui témoignent de la possibilité de pratiquer un journalisme de solutions exigeant,
stimulant pour les rédactions et le public

Pour rassembler des organisations internationales engagées comme Reporters d’Espoirs dans le secteur des médias.

Qui peut concourir ?

Être un média d’information de qualité journalistique

TV, Radio, Web…

Les médias d’information généraliste sont privilégiés

Impliquer une part significative de sa rédaction dans une démarche de journalisme de solutions

Il s’agit du travail d’une équipe, pas d’un journaliste seul ou d’une chronique isolée

Il ne s’agit pas d’une démarche événementielle, mais bien régulière et qui s’applique à un volume de contenus appréciable

Intégrer les critères d’un journalisme de solutions rigoureux

Couvrir une situation difficile ou problématique

Aller au-delà du constat du problème, pour évoquer : les initiatives mises en œuvre qui tachent d’apporter une réponse au problème, les acteurs qui y œuvrent

Évoquer les accomplissements et l’impact de ces initiatives, tout autant que leurs limites
